The Uganda Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (UFAAS) together with other partners, participated in the organizing of the 1st Northern Uganda Agricultural Show (NUAS) in Gulu District starting 28th June to 3rd July 2022. The NUAS, was successfully organized by Prime Agriculture Events in partnership with a consortium of organizations that play a key role in agriculture extension. These include Gulu University, UFAAS, Bank of Uganda, National Agricultural research Organization (NARO), among others. Under the theme: Unlocking Agriculture innovation, Technology and agribusiness for Livelihood Reconstruction” the show sought to track and showcase efforts made in the region as well disseminate transformative technologies and tracking progress of reconstruction of livelihoods in the region after 20 years of insurgency. The NUAS was an interaction platform for innovation and knowledge dissemination for youth and small holder farmers in the region.
This was also a great avenue for UFAAS to strengthen the Northern Uganda hub and meet with several members of UFAAS. The participation was supported by the African Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (AFAAS).
