Mr. Samuel Mpiira represents Local Government on the UFAAS Board. Currently, Mr. Mpiira works with Buvuma District Local Government as the District Production Officer where he is in charge of… as well as engagement with various rural communities. He is currently pursuing a PhD at Maseno University in Kenya where his research centers around “Household’s decision making and its influence on technology choice within the coffee banana farming system in central Uganda”.

With his vast experience, Mr. Mpiira brings to the Board excellent coordination and mobilization skills necessary to step up mobilization of Local Government extension professionals in UFAAS as well as promote UFAAS in the various Local Government for a.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, a Master’s degree in Agricultural economics, a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (Bio-Agric) from Makerere University, and a Post graduate diploma in Business Administration from the Uganda Management Institute.

Samuel has been a member of UFAAS since 2011.
