Following a successful election, the new Board members of the Uganda Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (UFAAS) (2025-2026) took the oath of office on March 11th 2025. This was during a swearing-in and handover ceremony held at Arch Apartments in Ntinda, a Kampala Suburb. Dr Richard Miiro, the new Board Chair succeeds Ms. Adeline Rwashana Muheebwa, who held the position for the past term of two years. The ceremony was attended by officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries, the African Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (AFAAS), and several extension actors from organizations like GOAL, World Vision, RIPPLE Effect, CABI, Local Government, AGRITERRA, PELUM, GUDIE Farms, among others.

Among other things in the UFAAS Strategic plan, the new Board will focus on professionalization of Agricultural Extension and Advisory Services (AEAS) in Uganda, including working towards legal recognition as a certifying body for all agricultural extension service providers in the country.
