
Ayebare Prudence Aijuka
Farmer Organization (National Level) Representative
Ayebare Prudence Aijuka – is UFAAS board member representing farmer organisations – a position in which she is charged with a responsibility of representing the interest of Farmers/Farmer Organisations as well as mobilising and coordinating other Farmer organisations in relation to the interventions of UFAAS.
She is a Rural Development specialist with 13 years experience of empowering Farmers/Agricultural Organisations for sustainable livelihoods, increased incomes, and advocating for transformation through policy research and advocacy. Throughout these years I have worked on coordinating the programmes, interventions and activities that strengthen the capacities of the institutions. I have experience in programme implementation, programme design, evaluation , partnership initiation and management, knowledge management, policy, and advocacy and gender equity and social inclusion and more.
She currently works with NOGAMU as the Head of Programmes a position which she is responsible design and management of NOGAMU portfolio programmes. She is responsible for the operationalisation of the Strategic Plans, annual review for strategic plan, programme design, establishing partnerships with development partners, government and private sector.
Over the years Prudence has equally served on member top management positions, operational and implementation level of projects and activities, fundraising and resource mobilisation, and more so have been able to establish and/or lead action oriented networks on food security, environment and youth/gender that have succeeded in representing the interests of the members. I have as well been able to render my services as different boards and a committed board for some national as well as coordinating local, national and international assignments environment, gender and agricultural production and productivity.
She holds a Masters Degree in Development Studies (MDeV- Uganda Christian University) and a Bachelor of Adult and Community Education (BACE- Kyambogo University).
