Adeline Rwashana Muheebwa
Chairperson
Adeline Rwashana Muheebwa is an Agricultural Economist by profession who has worked extensively in agricultural extension across the continent. Adeline is the current Board chairperson of the Uganda Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (UFAAS), an association that brings together all extension and advisory service providers. She is also an Ex Officio Board member of the Association of Uganda Professional Women in Agriculture and Environment (AUPWAE).
Adeline is a Gender trainer for African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) and has conducted several trainings in gender in Tanzania, Sudan, South Sudan and Kenya under ASARECA. Adeline has a rich understanding of the African context and has conducted several missions with IFAD in Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Malawi as a Gender and Targeting Consultant.
Adeline believes that things only get better when teams work together. On this premise, she serves to support organizations and individuals to improve their capacities towards improving the livelihoods of the poor and marginalised. Amidst other assignments, she is establishing and providing technical assistance in the growing of a farmers’ network for the egg value chain under IFAD funding in order to strengthen the supply side and improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers.
Adeline is a coach and mentor for young professionals in gender and agriculture. She is also a bronze medal winner for the First ever “Create and Cook with Tooke Flour” competition in Uganda.
Adeline has been a member of UFAAS since 2011.
